Training Guide
Reading-for-Fun can be used as a resource for training people to establish book clubs for new readers or those resuming reading after a break of some years, and for establishing reading partnerships.
Training involves a short two to three hour introduction to the Reading for Discussion section of Being in a Book Club, and discussion of some of the mechanics of actually establishing a book club or reading partnership.
Training might be relevant to staff or volunteers aiming to establish book clubs or reading partnerships for new or lapsed readers in either a community or institutional setting. This training might also be useful as a train-the-trainer exercise.
